The Academy is committed to studying Chinese medicine through the lens of modern science. We apply evidence-based methodologies, real-world clinical data and artificial intelligence to structure traditional knowledge, analyse clinical patterns at scale, and build a rigorous scientific foundation for the future development of Chinese medicine. This commitment is embodied in the Academy's own digital research infrastructure — including a structured materia medica knowledge base and an AI-assisted real-world evidence workbench.
The Academy is governed by a dual-core structure comprising the Council and the Academic Committee, with a clear separation between administration and academic authority. The Council oversees governance and decision-making; the Academic Committee independently exercises academic assessment and standard-setting; and the Secretariat carries out day-to-day operations. Together they safeguard both the sound operation and the academic integrity of the Academy, in accordance with its Rules of Association and Australian law.
