刘完素（约1120–1200）提出「六气皆从火化」「五志过极皆为热甚」等观点，强调火热在疾病发生中的关键作用，治疗上多用寒凉药物。其学说对后世温病学派有重要影响，也是金元四大家争鸣的起点之一。
Liu Wansu (c. 1120–1200) argued that the six qi can all transform into fire and that extreme emotions generate heat. He emphasised the pathogenic role of fire-heat and favoured cooling medicinals. His ideas significantly influenced later warm-disease theory and formed one of the starting points of the Jin-Yuan debates.
刘完素（河间人，故称河间学派）。其传人与私淑者众多，对金元医学格局影响深远。
Liu Wansu (from Hejian, hence the school name). He had many disciples and admirers, and his influence on Jin-Yuan medicine was profound.
