张伯礼，出生于天津，籍贯河北宁晋，中医内科学专家，长期从事中医药防治心脑血管疾病及中医药现代化研究，历任天津中医药大学校长、中国中医科学院院长，2005年当选中国工程院院士。2020年新冠肺炎疫情爆发后，他作为专家组成员奔赴武汉一线，指导中医药全程介入救治工作，主持研究制定的中西医结合治疗方案成为「中国方案」的亮点之一，因其突出贡献于2020年被授予「人民英雄」国家荣誉称号。他也是罕见的兼具中国工程院院士与国医大师双重身份的当代中医药代表人物，2022年获评第四届「国医大师」，累计获国家科技进步一、二等奖7项、国家教学成果一等奖2项。

Zhang Boli was born in Tianjin, with ancestral roots in Ningjin, Hebei. A specialist in internal medicine within Chinese medicine, he has long focused on the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease using Chinese medicine, as well as on the modernization of Chinese medical research, and has served as President of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Director of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. He was elected an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2005. Following the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020, he traveled to the front lines in Wuhan as a member of the national expert group, guiding the full integration of Chinese medicine into patient treatment; the combined Chinese-Western treatment protocol developed under his direction became a notable feature of China's overall response, and he was awarded the national honorary title "People's Hero" in 2020 in recognition of his contributions. He is one of the rare contemporary figures in Chinese medicine to hold both academician status at the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the title of Guoyi Dashi, having been named to the fourth cohort of Guoyi Dashi in 2022. He has received seven First- and Second-Class National Science and Technology Progress Awards and two First-Class National Teaching Achievement Awards.
